Projects & ODC transportation
Our specialist desk for cargo that will not fit a standard trailer — heavy machinery, capital equipment, plant modules and project consignments, moved end to end.
Equipment deployed
- Low bed and semi-low bed trailers
- Pullers and high-horsepower prime movers
- Hydraulic axles and modular trailers
- Extendable, girder and multi-axle beds
- Cranes and forklifts arranged at both ends
Planning & clearance
- Physical route survey and feasibility report
- RTO and NHAI over-dimension permits
- Height clearance with utility authorities
- Pilot and escort vehicles where mandated
- Movement calendar agreed with the plant
On-site execution
- Supervisor deputed for loading and lashing
- Certified slings, chains and stoppers
- Photo and video record at every stage
- Night-halt and parking security protocol
- Joint measurement and unloading sign-off
Pumps, compressors and turbine assemblies · mining and crushing equipment · robotic and welding lines · transformers and switchgear · cement plant components · fabricated structures and pressure vessels · complete plant relocation.
How an ODC movement runs
Nothing leaves before the route is proven
Cargo particulars confirmed
Dimensions, weight, centre of gravity and lifting points established with your engineering team.
Physical route survey
The route is driven and measured — bridge capacity, overhead clearance, turning radii and diversions recorded.
Permits and approvals
RTO and NHAI over-dimension permits obtained, with utility and police clearances where the route demands it.
Equipment mobilised
Trailer configuration finalised, pilots and escorts arranged, lifting equipment booked at both ends.
Supervised movement
A supervisor accompanies the consignment, with agreed night-halt points and continuous reporting.
Placement and sign-off
Joint measurement, positioning at the foundation, photo and video record, and signed POD.
Capacity
ODC vehicle classes
| Vehicle class | Indicative capacity | Typical application |
|---|---|---|
| Flat-bed & 40 ft trailers | 25 – 40 MT | Machinery, fabricated structures, pipes and long material |
| Container trailers (20 / 40 ft) | 20 – 30 MT | Factory stuffing, ICD, CFS and port movement |
| Semi-low bed trailers | 40 – 60 MT | Tall machinery within height restrictions, mining equipment |
| Low bed trailers | 50 – 80 MT | Over-dimensional plant, transformers, crushers, presses |
| Pullers & hydraulic axles | 80 MT and above | Project ODC, turbine and vessel movement, plant relocation |
Capacities shown are indicative vehicle-class ranges. The exact configuration is confirmed against cargo dimensions and route survey for every movement.
Have an ODC consignment to move?
Send the dimensions, weight and route. We will tell you the trailer configuration, what the route survey involves and what permits will be needed.
